Riverton and West Jordan Parades

Our float has been well received at the local city celebrations, and today, July 4th, marked the last of the small parades.

The Riverton Parade Mermaid was Amber Stevens--doesn't she look Pretty?

The Riverton pioneers were Skyler Higley and Emily Kirby.

Just for fun we thought you might like to see Brother Dennis Wood having fun
in the Riverton Parade with his 4x4 vehicles.

The West Jordan Parade Mermaid was Jade Lauder--looking pretty!

And our West Jordan parade pioneers were Robert Beach and Rachel Petric!

In case you can't see, that is Brother Balmforth driving the float!

And of course don't forget our celebrity turtle, who faithfully shows up at every event....

Taylorsville Dayzz Presidential Award Winner

What a fun day beginning with the Taylorsville Dayzz Parade, and we were awarded the Presidential Award! The Float looked gorgeous, and afterward it was brought to the Ridgecrest building where we oohed and ahhhed over its beauty!

Approaching the last stretch of the parade

Everything's working fine! Our pioneers are Chaylee Aubrey and Asher Sorensen

Kelsey Rowley is the Mermaid of the Taylorsville Parade.

Our remote control turtle--masterminded by Brother Tolman and a definite star of the parade! Kids loved him, and in this picture being expertly 'wrangled' by President Call.

Grease and Glitter

Our first parade--call it a 'trial run"-- was scheduled for Saturday June 18, in the South Jordan City Celebration. Everything was ready--ship, fish, octopus, animation, mermaid, pioneers--you name it and it was ready. Unless you named the carburetor. While it worked great yesterday, today it was not working at all. Neighborhood mechanics were frantically called but the first appearance of our float will now be next Saturday in the Taylorsville Dayzz Parade. Don't miss it!

Miss Octopus tipped up for access to the engine

Now can you put it back together???

Despite the carb problems it is looking gorgeous...

Down the Home Stretch

The Float is now located in a large storage shed on 6680 South just west of 2700 West in a warehouse--more room was needed as the float grows larger! So many talented people have contributed to this project and it is such a big undertaking! Look at how much progress has been made....
